FAQs ABOUT VISITING TREEDOM

Look through some frequently asked questions from our guests, to help you get ready for your visit.

Q

Can we drink the water at the Treehouse?

A Absolutely, the water at Treedom is completely safe to drink.
Q

How does the buggy work?

A The buggy is for your use on the property to go up and down to the parking lot for free. You can take the buggy for a drive around the Langvlei Dunes area - 3.5km at R150 per trip. If you want to go to the Malachite Bird Hide that is R350 per trip and about 10km, beautiful! Brown Hooded Kingfisher Trail is R200 – this is if you are lazy and want to drive to the start of the trail LOL. Speed limit is 30kmph due to wildlife and safety and the buggy must be driven as if it was your own, not like a hire car the best 4x4xfar hahahaha. Please sign the indemnity on arrival should you wish to use it. Marc will brief you.
Q

Where do we get wood and how much does it cost

A We have loads of wood at Treedom, and for our guests it is completely free!
Q

What about ice?

A Please bring your own. You can also purchase from the local stores.
Q

Is the use of the Love Tunnel part of the menu price or do we pay a venue hire?

A The use is free, you just pay for the food (menus are designed per experience and budget as it all depends what the markets have and what Treedom’s veggie garden is producing) and bring your own drinks please as we are not licenced. We will provide a champagne cooler filled with ice.
Q

Can we walk to the lake?

A Yes you can, if its just a walk you are looking for. Its about a 3km walk, and there are picnic sites next to the lake with braai facilities and a great swimming beach. You will need to take some cash with you to pay entrance to the National Park. We suggests taking the car so you can take all your food, drinks and swimming gear with you. Its busy on the weekends so get there early.
